Job Description:

Severn Management Company specializes in USDA, LIHTC, Section 8/HUD rental properties. As an affordable housing property management company with developments throughout Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia we are looking for an experienced professional to supervise on-site managers with maintenance, regulatory compliance and tenant relations issues.

Job Requirements: (Not Limited To)

· Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in property management, including Section 8, LIHTC and USDA programs.

· Knowledge of occupancy rules, recertification of tenants in affordable housing programs are required.

· Achieve and maintain 95% occupancy in your region and ensure proper marketing of units is done to minimize vacancy

· Control expenses to stay within budget, without comprising SMC housing standards

· Must have experience hiring, training, coaching, supervising, and evaluating site staff to ensure business objectives are met.

· Have knowledge of court systems to ensure delinquent tenants are filed on and evicted timely.

· Collect and review bids from contractors for necessary repairs.

· Reviews all contract renewals, and prepares / submits budget increase recommendations

· Ensure proper marketing of units is done to minimize vacancy

· Prepare and submit all responses to regulatory agencies and investors for audits, site reviews etc.

· Submit timesheets as required for payroll

· Strong communication skills in writing and orally

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook

· Must have dependable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and be comfortable commuting to different sites in the region.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
